Summertime vacations often translate into long hot, boring car rides. While the feeling of anticipation can be exciting, the horrible feeling of car sickness is not. As a matter of fact, nothing could be worse, especially if you are a kid trapped in the back seat. As a child, I used to get car sick a lot. I have some terrible memories of sticking my head out the window, desperately gulping the air, trying not to throw up. I only wish my family had known about the amazing relief essential oils bring for this condition. I have found peppermint to be the best at relieving nausea.
Next time you are planning a long trip in a car or on a plane, be prepared and pack a plastic baggie with a few tissues or cotton balls, saturated with a 2 to 3 drops of peppermint oil, or a blend of lemon or orange, peppermint, and ginger. You can also make up personal inhalers for everyone. Inhalers last a long time as well. Another thing you can do is use a car diffuser. Stimulating oils will help the driver stay alert as well as make the car smell great and all passengers will benefit. Essential oils will also help guard your immune system from airborne bacteria and germs on planes. Remember you only need a couple of drops.
